Dr. Evelyn Sauceda

Title of the Talk: Conquer Yourself, Conquer the World: The Foundations of Women’s
Empowerment Through Self-Care for Women Ages 30 to 70

Dr. Evelyn Sauceda, Ed.D., NCSP, LSSP, is the Executive Director of Bilingual Programs and Social Workers for Nacogdoches Independent School District in East Texas, where she leads district-wide services in bilingual evaluation, social work, family engagement, and community partnerships. She holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science in School Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), a Bilingual Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), and a Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA). A native Spanish speaker, Dr. Sauceda is bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural, and is also a Level 1 Energy Healer trained in Candice Silver’s modality. Dr. Sauceda is the founder of the “No Family Alone” initiative, which connects campus social workers with vetted community partners through CarePortal. She is the recipient of the 2023 TEA Bilingual Leader of the Year Award, the 2023 ESC Region VII Loyal Leader of the Year, three consecutive Texas Title I Promising Practices recognitions (2022, 2023, 2024), and the 2026 NASW Deep East Texas Regional Media of the Year Award. She authored Bilinguals with Special Needs (2024) and contributed to Family Literacy Practices in Asian and Latinx Families (Springer, 2023). She has delivered keynote addresses at the TEA Emergent Bilingual Leadership Academy, ACET, and Stephen F. Austin State University’s Teaching Graduation Ceremony. Her work centers on the conviction that strong leaders begin with strong bodies, minds, and spirits.
