Dr. Xinyuan Chen

Dr. Xinyuan Chen Biography:

Dr. Chen is an Associate Professor at the Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at
the College of Pharmacy of the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Chen has an educational
background in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Nanjing University, China). Dr. Chen’s
postdoctoral training is mainly in the field of transdermal drug delivery and vaccination at the
Wellman Center for Photomedicine (Massachusetts General Hospital). Dr. Chen’s research
focuses on developing novel physical/chemical adjuvants and improved vaccine delivery
platforms for better vaccination. Dr. Chen’s research has been mainly supported by NIH grants,
which include K99/R00 Career Development Award, R21 and R01 awards.
