Biography:

Valentina Brunella is an Associate Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Turin. Her research interests are focused on the synthesis, preparation and characterisation of polymeric materials, in particular polymeric materials for industrial applications and polymers for the controlled release of drugs. Moreover she studied the effect of high-energy radiation on polymeric materials, the thermal degradation reactions of polymeric materials and characterisation of their carbon products. She is author of more than 50 scientific papers in several research journals. She has been coordinator/participant in several national and international research projects with research institutions and industrial partners. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Polymers – Polymer Chemistry section, of Acta Scientific Pharmaceutical Sciences and she is Associate Editor of Frontiers in Chemistry – Carbon-Based Materials.
