Sara Sheikhlary

Sara Sheikhlary is a Ph.D. student in biomedical engineering with a minor in pharmaceutical sciences and a research assistant at the University of Arizona with backgrounds in biomedical engineering, drug delivery, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, molecular medicine, and biophotonics. Sara has worked on Alzheimer’s disease prevention using nanodrugs for four years that led to patenting a device for detecting the efficacy of anti-Alzheimer’s drugs. As an inventor at the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations, Sara has participated in different invention competitions and have won invention medals. Currently, she is working on developing lipid-based drugs for thrombosis treatment and on therapeutic cancer vaccines.
