Master Sergeant Sung Chan Jung currently serves in the Operations Team of the Capital Defense Command, Republic of Korea Army. He is concurrently enrolled in the Defense AI Systems Development and Operation Program at Chung-Ang University and the Master’s Program in Global Security Leadership at the Graduate School of Politics, Kookmin University (expected graduation: 2026). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Chung-Ang University in 2019 and has developed extensive field experience in small-unit tactics and operational execution.His research focuses on applying artificial intelligence to enhance clarity in command communication and improve operational synchronization within multinational coalition environments. Specifically, he is working on the AI-based standardization of combat directives and arm-and-hand signal systems for mission completion. By utilizing structured operational data and field sensor inputs, his approach aims to strengthen the speed and reliability of tactical information flow while safeguarding sensitive data.His work also addresses key challenges such as interoperability, multilingual communication, and ethical human-machine collaboration in modern coalition warfare. At this conference, he presents a scalable system that autonomously generates and disseminates mission completion signals using AI, tailored for real-time joint and combined operations. His research prioritizes accuracy, security, and standardization—core principles for enabling effective multinational coordination. With an interdisciplinary background in military operations, AI technology, and security policy, Master Sergeant Jung bridges the critical gap between battlefield demands and emerging digital solutions.
