Major Moonsuk Kang is currently serving in the Republic of Korea Army’s Information and Communications Branch, where he is engaged in both practical operations and research to advance military communications technology.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Cryptography from the Korea Army Academy at Yeongcheon in 2013. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity at the Graduate School of Information and Communication, Ajou University (expected graduation: 2025). In parallel, he is also enrolled in the Advanced Defense AI Systems Development Program at Chung-Ang University, receiving in-depth training in next-generation defense technologies.
His current research focuses on developing an AI-based network analysis model that utilizes open data to predict critical vulnerabilities in urban road networks that may cause large-scale paralysis of emergency response systems during disasters such as earthquakes.
Through a case study of Seoul, the research aims to provide scientific evidence for proactive disaster response strategies that can maximize urban resilience even with limited resources.
